This Lavender Cream Cold Foam is what your iced latte dreams are made of ☁️ Skip the line at Starbucks and make your own cold foam at home – it’s ridiculously easy and you can add whatever flavors you like. In this case, the lavender is an ode to spring and perfect for adding to iced lattes or matcha drinks.
What is Cold Foam?
Cold foam is a mixture of heavy cream, milk, and in this case, lavender flavored simple syrup. It’s fluffy and creamy, but not as thick as a whipped cream so it can more easily be incorporated into drinks and is easier to sip.
At Starbucks, cold foams are made in a special blender that uses a circular disc to get the foam nice and fluffy, but you can get similar results at home using a simple milk frother. It will take a little time to get the volume built up with the milk frother, but I promise it will get there. If you want to speed things up, you could use an immersion blender with whisk attachment or a French press instead.

Ingredients and Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this Lavender Cream Cold Foam:
- Heavy cream – If you want to shortcut this cold foam, you could replace the heavy cream and 2% milk with whole milk. It won’t be as creamy, but it will still froth up to create a drinkable cold foam. Read more about using different milks and creams for cold foam in this post.
- Milk – I recommend 2% milk for best results. Non-dairy milks are tough to get to foam, but you can read more about it in this post.
- Lavender simple syrup – This super easy syrup is made with just water, sugar, and dried lavender flowers.
