Get ready for holiday entertaining with this Easy Cranberry Orange Jam! It’s a perfect combination of sweet and tart, making it an ideal accompaniment on toast, baked brie, and even ice cream. I love how ridiculously simple this recipe is – you need just 5 ingredients and 15 minutes to make it.

serve it with:
Baked Brie
Score the top of an 8 oz wheel of brie, drizzle with 2 tbsp of honey, then bake on a lined sheet for 8-10 minutes until warm and gooey. Top it off with Cranberry Orange Jam before serving with crackers.
You don’t even need any gelatin or cornstarch to end up with a nice and thick cranberry jam – the cranberries have a high pectin content, allowing them to thicken up and create a lovely jam all on their own. The mixture will look a little loose when you first take it off the heat, but give it some time to cool down and it’ll be the perfect texture.

Ingredients and Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need for this Cranberry Orange Jam:
- Cranberries – Fresh cranberries are best here, but frozen will work too!
- Orange juice and zest – Orange juice brings some orange flavor, but more importantly the liquid needed to help break down the cranberries. The zest really drives home the flavor, so if you are concerned about it being overpowering, start with half the recommended amount and adjust to your own taste.
- Sugar – Regular granulated sugar is the ticket with this recipe, I wouldn’t recommend brown sugar or liquid sweetener. It’s key to developing the jammy texture.
- Vanilla – Brings a subtle, but important seasoning to the jam.
- Cinnamon sticks – I like a little bit of spiced flavor in this jam but you could skip it if you want. Or if you want to amp up the spice, throw in a couple whole cloves too (just be careful to remove them after simmering!!).
