Looking for a ridiculously easy side dish? Air Fryer Broccoli is where it’s at, y’all. All you need is 10 minutes and an air fryer, and you can have crispy, perfectly cooked broccoli that’s perfect for pairing with chicken, adding to pasta dishes, or serving alongside whatever your favorite protein and complex carbs are.
You can also totally adjust the cook time and temp to get these really deeply roasted and browned if you’d like – just drop it down to about 350 or 360°F and roast for 12-15 minutes, keeping an eye on the broccoli to make sure it doesn’t burn. Juicy Air Fryer Chicken
Chicken breasts tend to overcook and dry out easily, unless you use my secret to the getting the juiciest chicken breasts every time! All you need is salt, sugar, and a few spices to make your own chicken brine at home.
Can I Use Frozen Broccoli?
I haven’t tried to air fry frozen broccoli yet, but because frozen broccoli has a high moisture content, it’s more likely to steam than get nice and crispy and golden brown like fresh broccoli. Will it cook through in the air fryer? Absolutely (though you’ll need a few more minutes to cook frozen than fresh). But it won’t be the same flavor or texture-wise, so I wouldn’t recommend it.

Ingredients and Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this super simple Air Fryer Broccoli at home!
- Broccoli – Fresh broccoli florets is where it’s at for me. I don’t recommend using frozen for this recipe.
- Olive oil – Or whatever neutral tasting oil you prefer cooking with…unless you want to take this recipe in an Asian direction, in which case some sesame oil would be delish. See more below…
- Seasonings – I just used a lemon pepper seasoning and some salt, but you can use any number of preferred seasonings in this recipe. Feel free to get creative!

More Seasoning Ideas
Here are a few ideas to take your air fryer broccoli to the next level:
- Garlic and parmesan – add 1 tbsp minced garlic during the 2nd half of cooking and top with fresh grated parmesan before serving.
- Sesame and furikake – swap 1 tsp of olive oil with toasted sesame oil before air frying, then sprinkle the broccoli generously with furikake before serving.
- Ranch – Skip the lemon pepper seasoning and instead toss the broccoli with 1 1/2 tbsp of ranch seasoning from a packet.
