Need a yummy (and easy) cocktail idea to celebrate Mom this weekend? Give this raspberry Gin & Jam a try! It’s a gin forward drink, complemented nicely by lemon juice, sweetened up with a little simple syrup, and kissed with just a hint of raspberry flavor thanks to the jam. The jam is an ingenious cocktail hack, to be honest. Definitely worth shaking one up this weekend!
Cheers!

Ingredients and Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need to recreate this Gin and Jam cocktail at home!
- Gin – Kind of self explanatory, but gin is the core ingredient of this drink. Be sure to pick one that you enjoy! I have several that I enjoy and they’ll all work great here – Plymouth, Ford’s, St. George’s Botanivore, Barr Hill, The Botanist, Empress…the list goes on!
- Lemon juice – Fresh is always best when it comes to cocktails, so grab a few lemons and give them a quick juice. Lime juice could also work if you opt for a jam like raspberry or blackberry.
- Simple syrup – You need just a bit of simple syrup to take the edge off the gin and lemon juice and round out the balance of this cocktail without going overboard with the jam.
- Jam – Another no-brainer ingredient for this cocktail. I really love this one with raspberry jam, but other flavors like strawberry or blackberry would work too! If the jam you’re using has a lot of seeds, be sure to double strain after shaking it to get them all out using a mesh strainer like this.
