Good morning everyone! Happy hunger games. And by hunger games, I mean it’s time for breakfast and I’m hungry 🙂 Here’s a quick and easy hot oatmeal recipe that takes about 5 minutes to whip up. Of course I added some extra protein to it, which you won’t find in the instant oatmeal packets at the store. Plus fresh apples always help!
I still made some eggs and sausage to serve on the side of this. Gotta get that extra protein to keep me from getting hungry too soon! I have a feeling I’ll be making more recipes like this in a few weeks. I’ve been told that June gloom in San Francisco is depressingly cold and foggy 🙁 I’m excited for the change though! Enjoy.
Apple Cinnamon Oatmeal
- 1/3 cup quick oats
- 1/2 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1/2 small McIntosh apple
- 1 tbsp Jay Robb’s Vanilla whey protein
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp Splenda brown sugar blend
