It’s back to school season and that means that soon you’ll have hungry kids looking for hearty snacks after class. Enter this Air Fryer Pizza! I love that you can make a big batch in advance and freeze them for easy re-heating in the air fryer whenever a craving hits! Customize the toppings to match you (or your kids’) preferences. I’m partial to mini turkey pepperoni and plenty of cheese, but I have a hard time saying no to pesto pizza with prosciutto. *Insert drool emoji*

Copycat Olive Garden Salad
This salad is a cult classic for good reason, and it’s not just because you can get endless amounts at Olive Garden! The fresh, bright flavors are perfect for pairing with your favorite air fryer pizza.
Freezing & Reheating Tips
Make a batch of these Air Fryer Pizzas ahead of time for kids (or yourself) to grab from the freezer and reheat for a hearty after school snack or easy dinner idea! Follow these super simple tips for freezing and reheating:
- Use vacuum seal bags to remove air and avoid ice formation. I love these reusable, dishwasher-safe ones in the Zwilling Fresh and Save line.
- Reheat in the air fryer at 280°F for 10-12 minutes.
- Enjoy!
Ingredients and Substitutions
Here’s what you’ll need to make Air Fryer Pizza at home:
- Pizza dough – I used a pizza dough kit to make things super easy, but you can buy frozen dough balls from a lot of grocery stores or make it from scratch if you prefer.
- Pizza sauce – Whatever pizza sauce you like is perfect! You can also opt for substitutes like basil pesto or buffalo sauce and ranch.
- Cheese – I don’t want to knock regular old mozzarella, but if you can find a blend of mozzarella and provolone (Sargento makes one) or even one of those “pizza” blend bags of shredded cheese, you’re in for so much more flavor!
- Toppings – Try out whatever toppings you like! Keep scrolling for inspiration.
- Seasoning – I highly recommend seasoning the pizza crust with an all-in-one seasoning like this Flavor God Garlic Lover’s variety before cooking the dough.

Topping Ideas
The possibilities are endless, but here are a few ideas to get your imagination going:
- Pesto & Prosciutto – sub the pizza sauce with basil pesto, then add chunks of fresh mozzarella and prosciutto. Add the prosciutto when there are about 2 mins left in the cook time.
- Pepper & Olive – pizza sauce, shredded cheese, sliced olives, and pickled pepper rings
- Buffalo Chicken – Shredded chicken mixed up with buffalo sauce, all topped with shredded cheese, and drizzled with ranch dressing after cooking.
Macro-Friendly Options
Looking for something more macro-friendly? You’ve got options!
- Switch up the crust – Cut out some carbs by using tortillas or mini naan instead.
- Use lower fat cheese – Look for the part skim or reduced fat options. You could even go for some of the fat free options, but I wouldn’t recommend it since they’d probably burn before melting in the air fryer.
- Toppings – Skip the processed meat and opt for veggies on top of your pizza instead. Or go for a buffalo chicken one with plenty of shredded chicken breast!

Recipe
Air Fryer Pepperoni Pizza
Ingredients
- 1 1.1 lb Delallo Italian Pizza Dough Kit
- 3/4 cup Delallo Margherita Pizza Sauce
- 2 cups Sargento Shredded Mozzarella and Provolone Cheese
- 1/4 cup Hormel Mini Turkey Pepperoni
- 1 tsp Flavor God Garlic Lover's Seasoning
Instructions
- Prepare the dough according to package directions. Once dough has proofed for about 45 minutes, divide into 6 even balls of dough. Optional: Proof the dough a 2nd time, placing the 6 balls of dough into a greased glass dish for another 15 minutes.
- Place one ball of dough on one end of a piece of parchment paper approximately 9" x 15" in size. Begin to stretch the dough on the parchment paper, attempting to make a 6-7" round dough that is about 1/4" thick. The dough will be very elastic, so to make this easier, you can fold over the other side of the parchment on top of the dough and use a rolling pin to help stretch and flatten it.
- Remove the folded over piece of parchment paper so that the parchment only remains on the bottom of the stretched dough. Using scissors, trim the parchment so you have roughly 2" overhang on either side of the dough. Season the dough with Flavor God Garlic Lover's seasoning.
- Pre-heat air fryer to 400°F. Once hot, add the dough with the parchment on the bottom. Cook for 5 minutes, then remove the dough, using the overhanging parchment and tongs to help you safely lift it out of the air fryer.
- Flip the pizza crust, so that the top of it now is resting on the parchment paper. Add desired toppings, then cook for another 5-7 minutes until cheese is melted and crust is golden.
Tips & Tricks
- Oven instructions: Pre-heat oven to 450°F (or 425°F if you have a convect baking option). Par bake crust on parchment and a pizza pan for 6 minutes, then add toppings and continue baking for 5-7 more minutes until cheese is melted and begins to turn golden.
- Freezer tips: Use vacuum seal bags to remove air and avoid ice formation and freeze for up to 3 months. Reheat from frozen in the air fryer at 280°F for 10-12 minutes.
