- 10 oz strong brewed black tea
- 3 oz lemon juice
- 3 oz vodka
- 2.5 oz simple syrup
Add lemon juice and simple syrup to two highball glasses. Mix, then fill glass with ice.
For a layered look, mix black tea with vodka, then pour over ice in the serving glasses. Garnish with lemon slices before serving with a straw.
Strong brewed tea: I recommend adding more tea bags rather than brewing the tea for longer, which can make it bitter. For a bigger batch, I brewed 5 tea bags in 4 cups (24 fl oz) of hot water for the time indicated on the tea bags (~5 mins).
Sweetness: Taste the tea before serving and add more simple syrup if you like. This recipe is only mildly sweet, which may not be how you normally enjoy your tea or lemonade.
